Valkyrie Road Primary Care Centre

The proposed Primary Care Centre at Valkyrie Road in West-Cliff-on-Sea is one of several being developed by the local Primary Care Trust to bring primary care services closer to the community. Located in an established residential neighbourhood, the building will deliver a mix of services including GPs, a pharmacy and community nursing, along with staff training and office space to support the health professionals.

In response to a tight site, the building has been designed as a compact unit around two internal courtyards, allowing light and natural ventilation into the centre of the plan. The building integrates with the residential street by responding to the established building line of the street and by reflecting the materials of the neighbourhood.
