St John's Square

A 40,000 square feet, seven-storey, speculative scheme responding to the brief for a contemporary office development. The scheme includes the re-use of a listed building and addresses other adjacent listed buildings within the St John’s Square area of Clerkenwell, London.

This scheme’s context required a sensitive approach to design following detailed discussions with the planning authority and conservation groups. The office space was pre-let to a marketing communications company, who currently occupy the whole building.

Sitting over the archaeological remains of the Order of St John, the scheme has been praised for its design response within the historic St John’s Square Conservation Area.
