Care Home & Day Centre, Hastings

The proposed development is located on a steeply sloping site with outstanding views to the English Channel. It comprises of a day therapy unit and a 48 bed care home which includes consulting rooms and community activity spaces.
A key feature of the design is the main entrance foyer and refreshment spaces which are strategically located on the upper part of the site so as to exploit the amazing views of the Channel.  The majority of the bedrooms also benefit from these views and the naturally rolling landscapes to the South.  
By designing with the natural gradient, the 2 storey building maintains a human scale and the choice of materials reflect a modern interpretation of the historic local vernacular.
