Thurrock Community Hospital Masterplan

The Thurrock Hospital Masterplan project has been undertaken to assess development options for the site.

The initial work has been a non-financial appraisal based on site evaluation and reuse for continuing clinical delivery. The site is proposed to retain the current clinical activity and expand this to accommodate some services from other sites

Critical issues are:

·         To support the IMC programme

·         Provide practical single decant proposals for the site reconfiguration

A review of available space was undertaken as part of the feasibility study. Seven options were developed ranging from a ’Do minimum/ Business as usual’ to adaption/ reuse and new build. These options have been developed and detailed in the issued Masterplan
