Xav joined Murphy Philipps in 2007. He brought his vast experience in developing design information and the knowledge gained from the delivery of several large-scale hospital projects. He became an Associate in 2012 and was promoted to Associate Director in 2024.

Xav has led many high-profile projects in the Primary and Acute Care Sectors, with a particular focus on mental health. He has delivered major Healthcare schemes such as the extensive transformation project at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Operating Theatres, award-winning Finchley Memorial Hospital, Hornsey Central and the Sudbury Community Health Centre.

Additionally, he leads the office media team, enhancing communication, and showcasing the firm’s achievements and culture.
